To say that Mariane Talbot is a massage therapist of multifaceted talents is an understatement, as the breadth of her training encompasses many modalities, including Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Neurokinetic Therapy, Proprioceptive - Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR), therapeutic cupping, ELDOA, manual & Brazilian lymphatic drainage, Colombian Wood Therapy, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, reflexology and Reiki. Mariane is also interested in foot biomechanics and has taken a variety of courses so she can help her clients improve their foot function and foot health which will in turn help with knee and hip pain.
Mariane's main goal in every treatment is to determine the underlying cause of her client's concern in order to address associated pain. She is able to combine techniques from many modalities to customize a treatment plan for each client. She considers regular massage therapy to be a vital step towards a pain-free and healthy body.
Mariane's unique combination of therapeutic techniques and energy-focused healing allows her the opportunity to work closely with clients, bringing them to a centered state of physical and emotional healing and, of course, reduced pain. She successfully brings compassion, focus, dedication and a genuine spirit to each individual she treats, evidenced by consistent results and an ever-growing clientele.
Mariane began her education in health in the early 1990s with a focus on fitness, graduating with Honours from the Humber School of Fitness Leadership program and working as a personal trainer and fitness instructor for a decade. She also graduated from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2010 and now has a successful solo practice. She continues to learn from different teachers and always stays on top of the latest research.
Mariane is also a Reiki Master and is able to use this skill to elicit mind-body healing. She combines this knowledge with her learning from the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Therapy (MBSR) program to provide a truly holistic restorative experience. Accreditation from this program allows Mariane to support her client’s natural capacity for healing, creating balance and peace within the body and mind.
Mariane is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario, the Ontario College of Reflexology, the Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario and the Canadian Reiki Association.
